RETAILERS’ ROAR FOR MORE TIGRESS ISLAND HEARD, DEBUT ISSUE RUSHED BACK TO PRINT AHEAD OF RELEASE

Tigress Isslands

PORTLAND, Ore. 03/06/2026 — The bare-knuckled, grindhouse chaos of Tigress Island brought to life by fan-favorite writer Patrick Kindlon (Gehenna, Stringer) and artist EPHK (MAWRTH VALLIISHarpy) has sold out completely at the distributor level ahead of release. This premiere issue joins a deepening bench of red-hot new series selling out at record speed, including Doug Wagner and Daniel Hillyard’s Narco, Andrew MacLean and Alex Zeritt’s Death Fight Forever, William Harms and J.P. Mavinga’s White Sky, and Brett Bean’s D’orc. Image will rush Tigress Island #1 back to print this week in order to keep up with surging reorder activity for the exciting launch.

Fans are advised to request a copies from their local comic shop post-haste before the first printing copies disappear from shelves next week.

“Sending a big thank you to readers and retailers for their support of Tigress Island,” said Kindlon. “Issue #1 sales were great, so a second printing feels like icing on the cake. And there’s no such thing as too much icing, so feel free to push it to another reprint!”

EPHK added: “We took a gamble thinking readers could be hungry for a book like Tigress Island and it’s been so good to see it’s true! Appreciate your support. We won’t let you down!”

On Tigress Island, a crew of washed-up starlets finds themselves snatched, shackled, and shipped to a jungle hellhole ruled by a vicious, velvet-gloved she-devil of a warden. The only shot at freedom? Band together, break their chains, and outrun betrayal.

“For anyone familiar with their earlier work, both at Image and elsewhere, Patrick Kindlon and EPHK likely seemed like a match made in comic book heaven,” said Eric Stephenson, Publisher and Chief Creative Officer at Image Comics. “But seeing is believing and the potency of their collaboration explodes off the page in a way even I wasn’t expecting!”

This all new story promises readers a sweat-soaked cocktail of action and attitude, dripping with danger, double-crosses, and explosive payback.
