PORTLAND, Ore. 10/13/2025 — Rob Liefeld’s highly anticipated return to Youngblood next month is turning up the heat with ultra-rare, Manga-inspired black-and-white editions that collectors won’t want to miss. Cover M of each issue of Youngblood (2025) will be stripped down and presented in striking black, white, and gray tones—with splashes of red—on both the cover and its interior pages.
These special, stylized editions of the issues will pay tribute to classic Manga while redefining the superhero reading experience for an all-new audience.
“I love the style and design of Manga comics and I created an approach to my work that attempts to mimic those artistic influences with the Youngblood manga editions,” said Liefeld. “These have proved extremely popular with consumer! I’ll be doing a manga edition alongside each issue!”
On top of these sleek, Manga-inspired black & white editions, the Youngblood (2025) launch will unleash a full-blown variant blitz with a jaw-dropping 27 retailer exclusives, 30 epic team-up covers, and a wave of must-have incentive ratio variants set to dominate comic shop shelves.
The original Youngblood #1 marked the opening salvo in the Image Revolution and remains one of the bestselling independent comics of all time with sales over one million copies. With Liefeld finally back at the helm of his signature creation, Youngblood is in full power mode once again.
